Nashville-based singer-songwriter Mighty Joe Nolan's new single is a groovy snapshot of psychedelic staycationing in the South. "Backyard Beach" is the latest single off Nolan's upcoming collection, American Guillotine - a pandemic-era song cycle he self-produced in his home studio. The song spotlights cool drinks, rising temps, blooming flowers and feisty hummingbirds through a druggy filter of lo-fi beats and trippy vocal effects, creating a slow-mo soundtrack that celebrates the libidinal liberations of these Dionysian days.

"I built a beach in my backyard. It's sort of like a compound, very private. It's a kind of secret paradise I created when it wasn't an option to run to the Gulf. I built the beach with TLC and THC, vintage dub music and sake cocktails," says Mighty Joe Nolan
